I'm not big on pillows because you will poke through the fabric. You
will need some sort of kit anyway. Better to buy one from one of the
places that deal with such.
You also really need a skewer. Best to get a craft one, not the long
ones for barbecue.
Finger protectors won't work because you need to feel what you are doing
as you do it. Any covering thick enough to protect will keep you from
being able to tell what you are doing. Let's face it. Needle Felting is
the one craft which demands a blood sacrifice, so keep the tissue and
cream handy. Not recommended for people on blood-thinners.
