[NFB-Blind-Crafters] Labeling shawls

I don’t have a Braille idea, but I do have a labeling idea.

 

I love my Way Tags from WayAround.

 

There are some that are buttons and some that have a slot.  The button can be sewn to the shawl, and all the pertent information can then be recorded on the waytag using the app on an iphone.

 

The slot one can be clipped to the shawl using a large locking stitch marker or safety pin, and then removed when you wear it, and put back on when you’re putting the shawl away.

I have quite a few shawls I’ve knit, folded up in my closet.  I’d like to put a braille label on them, saying the color and pattern.  I’m not sure of the best way to do it.  I can just write on a card and put it inside the fold, though experience shows I tend to drop the card when I take the shawl out.  I could pin a card to the shawl with a safety pin, but I don’t want the yarn to get caught up in the safety pin and cause a problem.

Any other ideas?
