There are a number of ways that a message like that could get to you.  Remember that the list owner and list moderator's addresses appear on the NFBNET web page, for example, and that page can be accessed by the public.  If you want to forward the note to me, though, Dave Andrews and I could take a look at it.  My address is

and I can share it with Dave.  From what you have said so far, though, I don't think there is anything that would indicate the list has been "hacked" though.  Dave pays very close attention to system security.

Hi list in my bulk mail folder today I found a message from a verify at signup for free and it said something like it came from the owner of this list.  I don’t know if it is the list or my address book but I know nobody asks you do farify your information and a signupforfree.com looks very funky.  I can’t believe someone could guess my password any ideas on what to do if anything?
