National Federation of the Blind Crafters Division

Welcome to the Crafters Division Annual Meeting and Cindy’s Extravaganza.
Here you will meet crafters that happen to be blind.  Want to learn some
adaptive techniques or maybe a new craft?  If you answer yes, then you have
come to the right place.  The best way to learn is by doing so below you
will find a list of projects being taught during Cindy’s Extravaganza.  We
also have provided a list of the supplies needed to complete each project.

Cindy’s Extravaganza

1.  Cathy Braille Card making 

Supplies: Braille Writer, paper

2.  Renee  Tissue Flower

Supplies needed: Toilet Tissue, floral tape, green Chenille stem, scissors
*Note: Pinking Shears make a prettier edge*

3.  Jennette Braille writer Drawing of the American flag

Supplies needed:  Braillewriter and Braille paper

4Jill  Towel origami

Supplies needed: several wash rags, Hand towels, rubber bands 

5.  Courtney, Flower Pin

Supplies:1 artificial flower about 3-4-inches in diameter, Small roll of
floral tape, Wire cutters or heavy duty scissors, Stick writing pen, such
as Bic or Paper Mate, a retractable pen (click pen) will not work

6.  Dixie  Origami 

Supplies: 4 pieces of 8 ½ X 11 pages

7.  Joyce Candy Rose

Supplies: 1 wooden skewer, floral tape, 2 Hershey Kisses, clear cellophane,
scissors

8.  Tanya  Loom Knit Scrunchy

Supplies needed: 24 peg loom, loom tool, Cotton yarn, Scrubby yarn,
scissors, tapestry needle
