Dear April, the other thing you might try asking for a senior advisor. Those people normally have quite a bit more technical training then the normal Apple support people. And worrying about the major storm should not affect Apple’s operations, because most of their support centers are in the West. They are located either in Texas, or in Northern California, or even in Portland Oregon. So whether should not be a large factor. I really do wish that there would be a way to request a silent hold, because whenever I use my hearing aids, and the Bluetooth interface that goes to my iPhone it can at times become quite annoying. I hope all is well? Please forgive me for taking so long to answer you, it’s the first week of winter quarter and I’ve been extremely busy.
Sincerely Maurice Mines Student accessibility aid. Voicemail phone 360-524-0791. School/work email address, Maurice.mines at pcc.edu.

They had a hard rock music that hurt my ears playing, and I waited about six minutes for a person to answer. I ended up using the online chat message system. And the person there didn't know anything about the problem I'm having. After this massive winter storm blows over, I will try the blind and deaf line again. I figure they are just shortstaffed right now. It was worth it to try the chat feature, as I still do better reading than listening.

>> Good afternoon deaf blind list friends, I know this is extremely late but let me pass along best wishes for an outstanding and very productive 2014. A couple things come to mind after reading the first email in this thread. To Ms. Brown what might be helpful for you to join the Mac visionaries email list. There are some deaf blind persons on that list. And the advice that is dispensed to new Apple users is quite helpful. Also you are aware that Apple does have a dedicated disability support area, working group. Sometimes they are quite helpful as well. However one note of caution when dealing with Apple, I make sure that I let them know that I?m using a device that works with my hearing aids when I?m using it because they don?t quite understand why the audio can fluctuate greatly. So it is always helpful to give them a bit of a heads up on the situation. For the most part Apple support staff seem to do a good job. One final request before I go will Cheryl from Montana please give
