Hi Delcenia,
Most guide dog schools have poodles or labradoodple (Labrador and poodle
crosses) for people with allergies or family members with allergies.
The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind where I received Destiny sends
out hair/fur clippings or the possible matches to the student that they
will use to see if they have an allergic reaction to the hair/fur before
meeting the dog.
It depends on how allergic people are to dogs for one and whether they
take medication for it or not to control their allergies or is it so bad
that they have to go to the hospital.
