[nfb-db] Newby to the list

hi, my name is sheila and I wear two behind the ear hearing aides. I 
have moverately severe hearing loss. I had some hearing loss in my early 
forties but it really dropped during an illness. I really noticed when 
the doctor cleaned wax out of my ears but there was no change. I had 
been using hearing aides now for ten years. I'm now using my third set 
of aides. I have a program specifically to be use out on the streets so 
that traffic comes in and the aides don't try to block sounds that are 
from the environment.I went to hellen keller national center for deaf 
blind adults and tried to make sure that I was hering as well as posible 
in as many situations as possible.
