Hi Chris,

I too just got off the zoom meeting with my friend ineko Gary. I’m not deaf blind but my friend girl is. She can only see light perception and she is making DEF without hearing aids meaning she cannot hear anything without hearing aids. And with hearing aids they almost to the point they do not help her. They are turned up so loud for her that when you hug her you can hear the feedback. With them Ineko it’s close to being there with them. I’m spending the week with her and I know sign language because she cannot see to read the caption and it moves too fast for her braille display. My question is do you think getting a cochlear implant would be good for her or would it help her any sense without hearing aids she is considered deaf and with her knees she’s considered close to be in Toledo.?

Always
Peanut & Ineko

> Are you struggling with your hearing using traditional hearing aids? Have you been told to consider a cochlear implant but are scared of what the implications might be? Would you like to become more informed about one option for hearing impaired individuals? If you answered yes to any of these questions, come join me this Thursday at 8 pm. I have had cochlear implant surgery and have lived to tell the tale!! I will discuss my experiences and answer questions.
