For those of you using the Kindle app on the iPhone with a braille display, if you have not upgraded to iOS 16.5, you may not want to. Normally, when you pan forward, the text in Kindle books keeps moving forward even when pages turn. However, with iOS 16.5, when you reach the end of a page, it seems like braille will stop moving altogether. Exiting the Kindle app does not allow me to pan in other parts of the operating system until I restart VoiceOver. The only work around I know of is to switch off the Turn Pages While Panning feature. Your pages will still not turn automatically, but when you reach the end of a page, you can press space with o to go to the next page or space with ow to go to the previous. This will also allow you to continue panning. To disable Turn Pages While Panning, go to Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, braille and then turn off the feature called Turn Pages While Panning. I’m encountering these issues on a Focus, Brailliant and Orbit Reader. Has anyone else found a better way around this issue?
