[Nfb-editors] Nfb-editors Digest, Vol 62, Issue 2

I did have a contest to change our newsletter name and the prize was a Louie Braille coin, but only a few members sent in entries.

I have contacted members about writing articles and some I have even asked for specific articles, but again the interest is not high. Since I have been apart of this affiliate newsletter there are about 3 or 4 members who consistently contribute pieces, and it does not seem as though the trend will change with me as editor. I know this is a problem with each state newsletter, but I am hoping to build a core up.

I know I am complaining and sound negative. We have a great affiliate here, I just want a strong newsletter to reflect the affiliate. Any frusteration stems from caring too much.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions, and I am glad there is a group dedicated to this.

> I have been appointed the new editor for the Nebraska newsletter. I have some great and inovative ideas for our affiliate newsletter, but as many know, it is difficult getting members to write articles. I want to keep the membership informed and aware, but I hate to pull too much from the Braille Monitor and other state newsletters. I am attempting to build a core group who I can depend on, but it is a work in progress at this point. Please, please, please give me any advice and/or suggestions.
