Warmly,

Melissa R. Green and Pj

It is 'where we are' that
should make all the
difference, whether we believe
we belong there or not.

Good Afternoon,

With state convention right
around the corner, I wanted to
bring a few items to your
attention.

We will have two charter buses
leaving the Colorado Center
for the Blind on Thursday
10/29, just after 12:00pm.
You should try to be at the
Center around 11:30am. If you
have not already done so, you
need to rsvp me in order to be
ensured that we have plenty of
seating. You may rsvp me by
email at
lbonderson at cocenter.org or by
phone at 303-504-5979. We are
very nearly at capacity, so
the rsvp courtesy is extremely
important. If you have already
done so, no need to rsvp
again.

Upon arrival, the hotel will
do everything it can to check
people in, provided the rooms
are ready for us. It may very
well be that we have to check
our luggage in up front until
the rooms become available.

If you plan on coming down by
car you need to know that
there is a fee for parking:
self parking in the parking
lot is $17.00 per day and
valet parking is $22.00 per
day.

The Antlers Colorado Springs
is no longer a Hilton
property. With that change,
we have discovered that the
new owners will be doing some
extensive remodeling and the
previous owners did not make
some necessary corrections to
the Braille number of the
sleeping rooms. Scott LaBarre
and Kevan Worley discovered
that a great number of the
rooms were numbered
incorrectly. The hotel has
had some Braille number
stickers printed and has
affixed them to all of the
room signs. You will find the
correctly stickered number
near the top of the room sign
above the print number. They
were unable to remove the
existing incorrect number, so
there will be two sets of
Braille numbers. Again, look
for the stickered Braille
number above the print number.

And finally, if you are
planning on participating in
the Yoga segment of the Sports
and Recreation Division
breakouts on Thursday 10/29,
do please bring a mat or a
towel, as they will be unable
to provide them for everyone
in attendance.

Thanks much,

Lisa Bonderson
