Yep, I saw that.  Thank goodness we have the Greeley Shuttle!  And I have been using them for years.  The husband of Pamela and Bills son drives for them!

Hey Everyone,                                            I was reading some news today, and ran across this article from the Greeley Tribune from three days ago. Hope everyone is having a good Saturday!  SuperShuttle drops Greeley/Evans route to and from Denver International AirportTo reserve a shuttle or find out further details regarding Greeley Shuttle’s services and prices, go to http://www.greeleyshuttle.com/home.html or call (970) 353-2502.  A small, family-owned shuttle business in Greeley that provides rides to and from Denver International Airport has seen a spike in business the past few weeks after the closing of a major SuperShuttle route. Greeley Shuttle is the area’s newest main source of shared transportation to and from the airport, after SuperShuttle International halted its DIA Greeley/Evans route on Jan. 10. On that day, SuperShuttle sent a memo to its employees at its northern Colorado office with no explanation of why the route was closing. The Longmont/Firestone route was also discontinued as of Tuesday.Customers needing transportation were redirected to Greeley Shuttle through SuperShuttle’s website. Greeley Shuttle is a door-to-door shuttle that serves those in the Greeley and Evans area with pick-up locations in Eaton and LaSalle as well.Andrea King, co-owner and office manager for Greeley Shuttle, said SuperShuttle officials contacted her business on Jan. 10, too, notifying her that it was dropping its Greeley/Evans route. She couldn’t give an exact number, but she said she has seen business at her company pick up since SuperShuttle dropped its Greeley/Evans route. King expects that number to rise when University of Northern Colorado students go home for spring break in March, and the shuttle service is prepping for that. She said they are in the process of putting another van on the route, and hiring at least two new drivers. She’s excited about the new business heading her company’s way, she said. Her family’s company has had tough competition from SuperShuttle for the seven years they’ve been open, but business should increase now that they’re the only shuttle service in the area providing transportation to DIA.“We’ve been taking it day-by-day,” she said.King said to the airport, Greeley Shuttle has a 5 a.m. shuttle service, but routes start at 6 a.m. on the even and run every two hours up to 8 p.m. at night. On the way back from DIA, she said pick-ups begin at 7 a.m. and run on the odd every two hours up to 11 p.m. She said those needing transportation to the airport can always call for additional information.SuperShuttle is the region’s largest shuttle company serving Denver International Airport, and the regional general manager that covers the northern Colorado cities said Monday that he couldn’t comment on the changes until the company is further along in the process, the Loveland Reporter-Herald reported Monday. The northern Colorado location is directing its customers who want to still use the shuttle’s services either 18 miles east to the Hampton Inn in Loveland, 5500 Stone Creek Circle, or 45 miles south to the Candlewood Suites in Thornton, where there are pick-up and drop-off services.King said her husband Jerry King, and her daughter, Michele Neuschwanger, started the shuttle business in 2009 as a way to provide alternative services for people in the county. They both had previous driving experience working for Rocky Mountain Shuttle before it closed.A SuperShuttle representative did not immediately respond to phone calls from The Tribune regarding why the route was dropped.   Dora Lopez
