See?
This is why I get so damned frustrated with folks over this whole
hamradio thing.
I'm guessing you didn't read my message very closely.
Your join some local clubs tip is completely useless.
I've already contacted two clubs in the nearest major city, (there
aren't any local clubs), and I received zero response from either club.
And the rest of your comments are equally useless, because:
I've already joined hamtest online, it's worlds better than anything
I've seen online especially the somewhat outdated stuff from bookshare
(which btw I no longer use because of a disagreement I had with them
many years ago).
Handihams might actually be useful if there were someone there to
actually provide information. I've left messages there too, and the
only response I got was an automated one that didn't tell me anything I
didn't already know.
NLS isn't available to me, because some moron deleted me from their
system many years ago, and my attempts to get resigned up have fallen
flat (yes, I've tried more than once).
Why I'm having so many issues I haven't a clue, I'm beginning to think
becoming a ham radio operator just isn't in the cards for me.
Last time I took one, (over a month ago) I was scoring better than 90
percent on the practice tests that hamtestonline have, so I was excited
to move along, and take the real test, but my attempts to actually get
said test have fallen on nonresponsive ears, so I'm quickly loosing my
enthusiasm (again). Guess I'll just have to wait for it to go through
it's cycle and when it comes back again in another 10-20 years, I'll try
again. I think I'm done at this point.

But, when I hit local radio clubs that are supposed to be able to do testing, I get zero response. I've tried two different clubs, and neither one replied to my inquiry. I'd think that if this is a list for the visually impaired, there would also be resources to get folks tested, but I guess that's just me.

Sorry for the frank comments. I am willing to help, but we need the elected officers to step up. On Nov 10, 2021, at 2:20 PM, cori wills via NFB-Hams <nfb-hams at nfbnet.org> wrote:
