The purpose of this meeting is for those consumers who ride TheHandi-Van to meet and to distribute and have them sign our petition regarding the Honolulu City Administration and City Council to urge them to not to increase the Handi-Van fares by 50% by October 1, 2018 for the first year from the current $2.00 to $3.00 instead and then increase it every year until it reaches to a point of $8.50 per one way ride by 2023 (see attach documents that were mentioned and presented by the City’s Department of Transportation Services (DTS) representatives to the Rate Commissioners at their last meeting of January 22, 2018), but instead have them increase it to a gradually increase of 25 percent to $2.50 per one way trip.

I would greatly appreciate for those of you who wish to plan to attend this meeting to give me a call on my cell: (808) 291-1740 no later than by Tuesday, February 6, 2018, because the conference room is limited to a capacity of 30 people only.

Finally, please share this notice with others in your network. Also, a note, please inform security upon your arrival into the building that you are going to the fifth floor (Access To Independence).

Mahalo,
