Subject: [Nfb-history] Today I Made The Kill!!

Hello everyone,

For some time I've been talking about purchasing digital recording
and audio production equipment to record NFB functions and other events.
Today we made the kill! Tonight we're proud owners of an Alesis
Multi-Mix 8 mixer, and other equipment including a conventional and a
wireless mic along with headphones and all of the needed cables and
connectors. Recall that I was able to purchess a laptop at the end of
April. I expect to be picking up a second wireless mic and a Lovelear
Mic before leaving for the national convention.

So far I'm scheduled to record the NFB Writers' Division Workshop
and Business Meeting at the national convention. We bought a flight bag
for transporting everything to Detroit and back.

both Mary and I went to the Guitar Center here in San Antonio to
pick up the equipment. One of their managers, one Chuck Edgett was
extremely helpful even to permitting us to setting up the equipment and
testing everything in the store before purchasing it. We were there for
over three hours, but when it was all over we left that place with over
$600.00 worth of professional audio production equipment. A payment from
another Web client will make the purchess of a few additional items
possible. Given the short time frame if the budget holds out I may also
pick up an Olympus DS-50 before leaving for Detroit assuming I can find
a local dealer that carries it. This has been in the works for several
years and has now come to pass.
The next milestone for me will be streaming my first NFB event. Here's
hoping everyone is having a great weekend as we are here. Talk to you
all soon.
