[Nfb-history] Convention Recordings

Chris,
No.  Ralph Sanders was president of the Federation in 1978.  There are 
folks on this list who when in the movement then who can better speak of 
why Dr. Jernigan was not.  If I remember correctly it was for health 
reasons.  Anyone wish to fill in the gaps in my memory?
I would like to say one more thing about Mr. Sanders.  In listening to 
his speech it is obvious the leadership thought a lot of him at the 
time.  They referred to him as "our young president".   It made me very 
sad to hear that considering how things turned out.
