Ryan:

That sort of nonsense is unworthy of you. To be sure, the fundamental
message of banquet speeches is the same, if for no other reason than that
people new to the Federation may be unacquainted with our principles and
need exposure; even we grizzled veterans could use a different take on our
own philosophy from time to time.

That being said, however, I submit that there is much historical material in
banquet speeches detailing the plight of the blind over the years and the
poppycock we have been subjected to.
