> The 75th anniversary Convention of the National Federation of the Blind of Idaho, the largest organization of the blind in the State, will occur at the Red Lion in Pocatello March 19--21. Kevan Worley, blind businessman from Colorado Springs and President of the National Association of Blind Merchants, will deliver the banquet address Saturday evening.
>
> President, Elsie Dickerson, said: "Our Convention theme is "Hats off to Idaho and Pass It On." We want to express our gratitude for the blind people who worked so hard to make the changes that have made our lives better, and we will try to pass even more improvements to blind people of the next generation."
>
> Computer technology for the blind lags behind computers for the sighted, but new software and hardware for the blind can be very exciting. Friday morning Karl Smith of Axis Technologies in Salt Lake City; Laine Amoureux from the Idaho Commission for the Blind in Boise, and Matt Barnhill, Macintosh Sales Rep from Utah, will be demonstrating some of the newest devices on the market.
>
> Between fifty and 100 blind people from all parts of Idaho and adjacent states will participate in this Convention. Family members and friends of blind children and adults are also welcome to attend part or all of the Convention activities.
