[Nfb-idaho] request for a braille version of our Idaho potato cookbook

Don, as I think about it, I think it would be a good thing to make a few
Braille copies of the old Idaho Potato Cookbook. Would you scan it,
proofread it, then emboss? Do you have some idea what it would cost?
Either paper covers or soft plastic covers would work. It has been long
enough since we really worked to sell these, it would be a good thing to
sell any remainder of print copies, and I am sure that a few people will
want the Braille, as well if we are selling some print copies.

Are you staying in town over your break? I am leaving the day after
Christmas for most of two weeks, but can get you a copy or more to look at
before I go if you want it.
Ramona

It is possible to do something called `copy protection` to a computer file,
so I know that a BRF file could be made so that people can't just make
copies.

However, I don't know if this would affect how the file is used by a
refreshable braille display or voiced by a screen reader. (I don't know why
it would produce any problems, but I also don't know how braille displays or
screen readers open and use a file.)

I'll do some homework and try to learn of any problems that might occur.
However, if anyone has used copy-protected files on their braille display or
screen reader, please let us know of your experience.

Best,

_don
