This may be a slightly different issue, but, on two separate events, I was asked to move at the Morrison Center. The first time, I was with two friends and we all were asked to move. The second time, I was with a sighted friend and we were both asked to move to the wheelchair section.
On both occasions, the moves were requested because I was accompanied by my guide dog. I think we should meet with the appropriate staff at the Morrison Center and try to work this out. I am horrified that someone who needs to use crutches for mobility must give them up in order to attend an event. This is unconscionable!

“The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; Blindness is not what holds you back.”

Absolutely
in agreement with what Jennifer Ballad says at the very end of this story
-- all stakeholders have to be in on solving this issue, especially those
most directly affected by it!
Ableism -- even if claimed to be well intentioned -- is an affront on
inclusion and social justice.
