Please join this meeting on voting rights for the blind and others with
disabilities to be held Monday evening, June 22 from 7:30-9:00 PM. Courtney
Holthus is an attorney with Disability Rights Idaho and was to be a
scheduled speaker at our state convention. She is very knowledgeable on this
topic. The National Federation of the Blind of Idaho is currently preparing
a complaint to file with the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. I
have had the draft of this document reviewed by LouAnn Blake of our national
office. We have a right, guaranteed by law, to vote privately and
independently in our United States. Let's join Courtney on Monday and learn
how we can preserve this vital right as we prepare for our November general
