I also thank you for taking time to give us all an update on Katy.  I'm sure
it was good for her to be able to see and communicate with you and the
children.  Let Katy know that we are all missing her and continue to keep
her in our thoughts and prayers.  It will be a great day when she is able to
leave the hospital.

Today marks day 21 of Katy's hospital stay. Early yesterday afternoon they
were able to completely extricate her from the ventilator. Glory be to God!

She is on high flow oxygen and over the past 24 hour they havebeen able to
gradually lower the flow and levels needed. She was also able to eat a
little apple sauce this morning.

Another blessing is that I was able to Face-time her  this morning with my
daughter and grandkids on the call. Though brief, it was so wonderful to
talk with her.

Katy is making slow but steady progress but still has a long way to go
before she will be able to leave the hospital. In fact, she is still in ICU.
An additional factor is now she  is being fairly heavily sedated due to
anxiety caused from the trauma of the ventilator experience.

Katy's condition is very fragil right now but I know your prayers are
helping and making a difference. She and I both thank you very much!
