Dana, I am planning on going to National Convention and would serve as an Ambassador. I will also need to ask for some financial assistance. -Erin

I don’t plan to make life a journey to the grave arriving safely in a pretty, well preserved package.
I’m going to arrive skidding in broadside, well worn and exhausted
with a lifetime of experiences and loudly proclaiming, “WOW! What an adventure!” ☺

Subject: [NFB-Idaho] I need to know who is going to national convention and if you would serve as a convention embassador

Please see the below information from President Riccobono. Thank you.

Convention Ambassadors Needed

In 2022 NFB Convention Ambassadors will assist in making the convention a welcoming and empowering experience for all attendees by helping to facilitate the sharing of accurate information, providing access to information at key locations within the convention, and generally serving as a positive influence during the convention. Ambassadors will be asked to take on assignments as coordinated by the ambassadors committee.

Affiliate presidents are asked to identify people going to the national convention who can serve in this capacity at various times throughout the week. Keep in mind that asking someone to serve as an ambassador can be a meaningful way to engage them in the convention and it can also be used as a way to ask members to give back when they are receiving financial support to attend the convention. We would appreciate it if you would identify five to ten people within your affiliate. However, reliability and willingness to serve is more important than pure numbers. The goal is to have a robust team of ambassadors so that none of us needs to take on too much and all of us have a great experience. There is no limit to the amount of time an ambassador dedicates to helping at the convention.

Please send an email to the ambassador committee chair, Dan Burke, with the names, mobile number, and email address for each of the individuals you are recommending serve as convention ambassadors for 2022. Please indicate if the person you are recommending is a first-time convention attendee and, if so, why you are recommending them to serve. Please send your suggestions by May 31, 2022, so that the committee has time to plan for activities at this year's convention. Dan Burke can be reached at
