[NFB-InTheKitchen] 2 different cooking questions

I received a device from my Voc Rehab days that boils water and then dispenses it into your cup. It is called a "Hot Shot". It is filled up from the top, then you select one of two buttons to heat the water, and then the other button to dispense the water. You can either premeasure the amount you want to heat by monitoring how much you put in the top, or after the water is done heating, you can just stop holding down the button and the water stops coming out.

As for Zesting, I use my box grater, and select the size that works best for zesting. I turn the lemon to change where I am zesting it. I typically can feel the difference between the parts that I have already zested and the parts I have not. I'm not sure how helpful the lemon advice is, but it is what I do as a totally blind person.

Subject: [NFB-InTheKitchen] 2 different cooking questions

Hello, I had 2 very different questions. First, how would I get the zest from a lemon without getting the bitter part?
My second question is if anyone knows of an appliance that can boil water and dispense it into a mug by pushing a button. Personally, I think that is safer for me then pouring boiling liquid. Thanks.
