This listserv is to connect blind people with the tools, techniques, and resources useful to excel as a blind person in the kitchen, to build and increase the confidence of blind cooks, and to serve as a community for cooking enthusiasts who happen to be blind. This group is intended to serve as a resource for blind individuals with any level of cooking experience, as well as to serve as an advocacy resource within the National Federation of the Blind to advance the accessibility of online cooking resources and important home appliances. This group will also seek to raise expectations in society for the participation of the blind in all aspects of cooking from independence in the home to employment in the nation's best restaurants." Subscribing to NFB-InTheKitchen
