Hello Debbie and greetings from the great state of Georgia! My name is
Kimberly Chichester and I am a fellow NFB member. The president of my
chapter Joann Johnson, forward me the email regarding your zoo discussion
on Saturday for Brill and vegan cooking.. thank you in advance for holding
these discussions. They are both a great interest to me however, I am doing
everything I can to attend both sessions on Saturday. And I am hoping
everything works out so I can be in attendance. During the vegan cooking
session, I noticed your topic is picnic foods and grilling. I had a
question I wanted to ask in advance. If you could possibly discuss the
question or send me some ideas that would be awesome.. I am somewhere
between chicken Terrian pescatarian and vegetarian but however, my
sister-in-law is vegan. Whenever we have a cookout either at their house or
ours I tend to eat what she is eating. However, I know every time we cook
out here. My family always prepares either a black bean burger beyond
burger, or some type of veggie burger for us. And to be honest, it’s
getting quite boring.. we have tried traditional having the burger patties
on a bun and we’ve made burger wraps and burger salads. Could you possibly
please suggest any other options that would be great on the grill that is
easy prep but still has a great grill taste, or something that could be
easily enjoyed at a barbecue. I also know that we have tried the Tofurkey
patties, vegan chicken, flavored fillets and tofu dogs, but they just don’t
taste right maybe we are doing something wrong. Thank you so kindly for
your help and greatly appreciated.

Best regards

Kimberly Chichester first vice president Gwinnett family, chapter of the
national Federation of the blind of Georgia
