Also, Joyce, you can buy time and put it on a sim card, like I do. I
use AT and T. I buy time as I need it. This way I do not have a
monthly bill. I am not a heavy user, yet.

Congrats on joining the Mobile revolution, Joyce! It is easy to
see you are... (umm, shall it? Yeah!) It's easy to see you are plum
delighted!
FYI, the cell phone machine you bought needs one more word when
you are describing it. It is actually a Nokia 6220 Classic (because the
phone without the extra word "Classic" is a different model that won't
hold the OCR reader software).
I recommend you sign up for the free discussion group to learn
more what your combo reading machine and working cell phone with Talks
can do for you. Go to www.nfbnet.org and then find Reader-users on the
long list of available discussion groups. I know buyers of the
knfbReader Mobile have exchanged great pro-active tips plus solutions to
problems on that listserv. I'm curious to know which cell phone service
you are getting for your new multifunction cell phone--A T and T or
T-Mobile?
One more thing, beyond helpful emails from the other
Reader-Users, if you can't figure out how to do something on the reader,
anything you are having trouble figuring out, I recommend you contact
Michael Hingson of California. He is selling the knfbReader Mobile
nationwide and is very good at explaining tech stuff to us less-educated
technophiles.
	Mike's office: 415-827-4084; E-mail: info at MichaelHingson.com;
Website: www.michaelhingson.com. I just did a cut and copy on this
paragraph from his Website and discovered this great news:
Great News: Michael Hingson has just been named the National
Sales Director with the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) for the
KNFB Reader The NFB also announced that they are making available a
brand new low interest loan program for assistive technology like the
KNFB Reader.

Off topic here, so delete it if you don't want to listen.

I got my new [plum] KNFB Mobile Reader!

It is purple! I received it on Friday and tried all weekend after
charging my plum baby and couldn't figure on how to turn it on. The
person I purchased it from was traveling and did not get my email or
phone calls, but on Monday I called KNFB Reader help line, emailed our
friend Lorraine on the list and got a couple of emails with help. The
fellow over at the KNFB Reader help line was great and got it up and me
a
little orientated So I am off and trying things out.

Yes, the phones are available in Plum, but they did not know they came
in plum and they just received a shipment with in the last 2 weeks and
learned they had 12 plum ones These phones only came in black prior
to this time.

They have moved up to the new model phone Nokia 6220 which is more the
shape and size of a pack of cigarettes. The new version of the software
was installed for the KNFB Reader and I have the screenreading software
Talks installed.
