Thanks for everyones help.  Good thing I asked before actually buying.
Guess I did not read it carefully.  Logicually, you would think to keep
the item the same size, you would need the same size length and size
needle.  I just can not tell plastic and bamboo apart, easily.  I am
trying to find a size 13 in metal to go with my 13/16 that I used for my
hat.  I think I saw a 13/29.  Thanks for the help.

Just to clarify.  Joyce is totally correct in what she writes below.  I
will add this and just ad that the choice is yours.  When you work in
the round with 2 circs, you must use 2 needles of the same size.  The
length of the needles does not matter.  You can select 2 needles of the
same length or 2 needles of 2 different lengths, but of course the same
ndl size.

For learning purposes, it can make it easier in keeping track of what
ndl is which to use 2 different lengths.  Also you can choose a bamboo
ndl & a metal ndl, or a plastic & bambo als for learning and feeling the
difference between the 2 ndls.
