Sounds pretty.  For something like that, I hope you picked something
with rather dark colors.  There is a pretty, royal blue, different
shades of blue and some white that would be nice.  Even black, gray and
white.
I think I made a jewelry box, one time.  Just a box with a lid, out of
pastel yarn.  I made the lid a bit larger than the box, so it extended
over the frunt and left and right sides.  It was connected on the back.
I put a button on the frunt and a loop to keep it closed.

I was using variegated yarn; I don't remember all the colors, but it's
not too bright, maybe soft.
