Good morning to all,

I so enjoyed reading about Valerie's garden, that I just wanted to post
about our recently-planted tomato plants.

This is our first try, and because we don't have much room, we're using
large pots with the metal towers for when the vines come out.

They're Roma tomatoes, and we're very excited about this recent project.

Francis and I are quite fond of these, and have a lovely side dish recipe
that follows:

Thinly slice four tomatoes of your choice (or one or two large).
Do the same with one cucumber and place in a salad bowl.

Add just enough olive oil to *lightly* coat the mixture, and a dash of
balsamic vinegar.
Sprigs of fresh basil
Finely minced fresh garlic cloves to taste; we usually add three or four!

Gently and thoroughly blend the mixture with your hands or with a spatula
and enjoy!

See why we're so excited about it?

Liz
