[Nfb-krafters-korner] Hairpin lace

I'd like to see how to do hairpin lace -- is it crochet or knit stitching? 
Perhaps someone would like to summarize it to the list.

Joy, I think hairpin lace would be a good idea.  I made a hairpin lace afgan
for my sister Henrietta about thirty years ago.          I thought it was
very pretty but I would have to brush up on how to do it.
