[Nfb-krafters-korner] looking for new classes

Hi -- did you learn to make one of those knots that are like a triple knot
that will not slip or come undone, used in rescue operations? I have
somewhere a sample of that knot made for thick cord and glued to a platform
for display. I always get mixed up about halfway through trying to tie this
knot. I wonder if it's one of the knots you learned. I heard it is a knot
that the boy scouts have to learn for a knotting merit badge.
It is not a decorative knot, but a very useful one if you need a knot that
won't slip.
Happy crafting.

We just used rope. Since this was a survival weekend, we discussed how the
different knots would be used in that type of application. However, I could
see where they could be useful in crafting.

I think it will be a chalange coming up with the right words to make the
directions understandable, so I would like to start with just a couple of
knots to see how it goes.
