I have joined the group over on google that is called Blind  Stitchers.  It 
is a knitting and crochet group that Davey Hulse helps  run.
 
I sent this message to one of the leaders and I wanted you to see what she  
did.

Joyce, whom we know as KraftersKornerJK, has sent me the following message  
about the NFB's crafting group. It sounds really fun, so I'm passing it

in case others are interested in participating. 
 
Joyce, please feel free to post reminders and upcoming events. I'm sure we  
can all benefit from crafting temptation, especially when housework  
awaits.

I am the President of the National Federation of the Blind Krafters  
Division.  I would like to share with you our website:

We have a lot of blind crafters over on our list and we offer a Monday  
Night Chat, a list serve and many classes that are given via telephone  
conference
calls.  Our classes are given by visually impaired/blind  folks to others 
like us.   
 
Our Monday Night Chats are a variety of things ranging from just a chat to  
gathering together with our knitting needles and knitting up a dish cloth  
while
someone reads line by line to us.[a knit together].  We have  enjoyed 
lectures with guest speakers for example the Blind Wood Working group  and Davey 
talking
to all of us about his book and his love of  knitting. 
 
We are just ending up a beginners knitting course this week and we will be  
having a increasing and decreasing course this Wednesday evening and a  
knitted
house slipper course beginning next week.  In September we will  have a 
class on using a life line in your knitting, a beginners crochet course,  a 
beginners
nifty knitter course and a beading class learning how and what to  do 
crimping beads.  We do have some gentlemen that will be doing some of  the said 
mentioned
classes. 
 
We have a couple of fun Monday Night Chats coming up in the next few weeks, 
 too.  Today we will have Making air planes[bring some of those memories  
back
when we were kids], paper flowers August 23rd and more fun with Paper  Air 
Planes on August 30th.
