Okay, the big eye needles  here is how they work. there is no eye at the en 
like the traditional ones. Use your finger nail or the end of your pliers 
and gently insert it to open the middle of the needle. You'll notice the 
needle is attached at both ends but it seperates in the middle. Insert your 
fireline and then push your thread down to the end  and allow the needle to 
close.
