[Nfb-krafters-korner] Yarn labeling

Hi,
I usually braille the color on the paper that comes around the skein of yarn
and put it in a bag with the yarn of the same color. I use different-sized
bags, depending on how many balls of yarn I have in one color or variegated
scheme. When I buy yarn, I usually get one color or one type of variegated
yarn or have the sales person put different colors in different bags and
then I put something else in one bag so I know which is which. When my
husband was still alive, he sometimes helped me with colors, but he was kind
of color blind, so I didn't have him help very often.

I do have some odds and ends of yarn that aren't labeled, but whatever I
make out of them, it won't matter what colors they are, like potholders or
other small things.

I don't have sighted people around who can read crochet patterns for me, so
I just haven't done much new stuff for a while, though I do have a book in
braille with afghan patterns. But right now, I am not wanting to make
anything that big. I also know I'd get "help" from Sylvawna, my youngest
kitty, hahaha.
Thanks
Lauren
