[Nfb-krafters-korner] looms?

I looked at joanne's a little while ago.  It looks like they have all 
their loom stuff on sale.  I saw the assorted set but I also saw clips 
and hooks.  Will I need these or are they just nice to have?  If I need 
them, what are they used for?  Thanks for putting up with my stupid 
questions.
