Annette,

It is peaking my interest. I'd have to know more about cost, time of year to
go and the like, but definitely something that would be doable.

Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] A field trip idea

Hello All,

Based on the idea that I would like to share, I must be getting cabin fever.
Now I know not all of us live on the east coast, but I'd like to toss this
idea out and see what you think. I've always wanted to take a field trip to
New York City to the Lion Brand Studio. What do you think about seeing if
we can come up with a plan for meeting there, and checking the place out.
For many of us, it would require a few hours trip on the train. We could
meet late morning, grab a bit to eat, visit the studio, and then head home.
They offer classes there, so maybe there is something we want to participate
in, or work with them to offer us a class that we are all interested in.
Besides being a fun outing, I think it would be a great way to promote
Krafter's Korner. I'm only tossing this out there as a brain storming
concept for us to talk about the pros and cons as well as the possibility of
pulling this off. I could probably not participate until well into April or
May, as I hope to start home training with a new dog sometime in march. In
mid July I might be on long island, so that is how I thought about visiting
the studio, and thought about us doing it as a group. I am aware the
convention is in July, so looking at other times might be good. If this
turns out to be a poor idea, my feelings will not be hurt. I like planning
events, so I'd be willing to help coordinate it.

Can't wait to hear your ideas and feedback.

Annette
