We were having trouble with finding the book that we purchased and  
downloaded to read and I have found out what is what.
 
You can go back any time to your account at Lion Brand and view your  
"download books and patterns on a list.  There is a button you can use that  says 
download again.  If you enter on that it will open up in Adobe.   It does 
not save it as a download on your computer as I have searched high and  low 
through lotse of folders trying to find it.  So once you have it opened  in 
adobe you need to hit the alt key and go down the file menu and choose to  
save it.  I saved it in a text file so I can open it in Word.  If you  don't 
save it it is not on the list of files you recently opened in adobe nor is  
in your document or download folder.  The only way to get it open is by  
going back to Lion Brand under your account and get it from the download  list.
