You have hit it on the head - I see it as being soooooo slow, and that I 
would take forever and never be very good at it. I do not enjoy it at all 
and at this point in my life I feel like there is no reason I need to do it. 
I think to be proficient, meaning that I could stand and give a lecture 
using braille, would take many years to achieve. I can't imagine someone my 
age really becoming proficient at it.  I can "read" books and knit at the 
same time now, and I like that a lot.  I think that if I want to learn 
something, it would be to concentrate on a foreign language that I really 
want to learn, just for my own satisfaction. Lynda
