That would be cool. I'd love to travel to gem shows, but I don't travel often with my work and everything else. I don't know if I can survive gem shows! If I touched beads, I'd want them. Well, of course, buying from catalogs isn't keeping me out of trouble either. I buy tons from FM, and that's why I'm what they call a Platinum Partner. That's what you're called if you spend, well, a certain amount that I won't mention per year. *laughing* I can only imagine what damage I'd do if I can go to a gem show! OMG!

Yes, I do buy a lot from FM, but I like to buy at the gem shows, too. My
grand daughter who is 30 years old, takes me and we spend a couple hours
there touching all the beads. (smile)
For this dragon necklace, I bought just about everything I am workin on it
with, in New York City, when I was there three years ago with my daughter
and her family. I could SEE then, just 2 months after that I could not see
then. So I could not enter this in the FM show. But, I will keep it in
mind, now that you mention it, and aim to do a piece with only beads I have
bought from FM. I will develop a couple of encrusted beadwork pieces just
for that purpose...great idea. If I have it in my mind now, then I can begin
to work on it and take my time doing it. I could write down every kind of
bead, as I am working on it, and that way it would not be so overwhelming.
