Jewell

I have no light perception at all and my love before I went blind was
sewing. Welll let me tell you it took a lot of determination, but I started
back on my sewing machine about a year after my lights went to black. I sew
by machine and do quilts. I hand quilt by touch and I have sewn overalls
and little t shirts for my Grand daughters. I use freezer paper and my mom
will trace out my patterns on the freezer paper for me and then cut out the
paper pattern, but from there I lie out the patterns, cut the material and
sew those clohs for the kids. Right down to making buttonholes, sewing
the buttons on and putting those snaps in the crotch.

I have used rotery cutters towith tools I have found to help me cut
straight lines and love to do strip quiltting. So don't think you have to give
up sewing.
