[Nfb-krafters-korner] pumpkin seed recipe in the microwave

Susan and everyone,
A great alternative we are using here is to use a small dessert plate. Put a hole in the center of the plate and place it over the stem of your pumpkin. Use the plate as a guide to cut your lid off.

Another alternative we used was taking a Halloween cookie cutter and tapping it with a hammer into the pumpkin. You will get the design of the cookie cutter and you can feel the pattern. If you want, you can then color it in or paint it etc.

 Happy Carving!

Cindy Z.

How did you know I was going to be doing this in a couple of days! I do
them in the oven and we will be roasting pumpkins, butternut and acorn
squash. I didn't know you can eat their seeds as well.

My next article for the Matilda Ziegler Magazine is going to be about
pumpkin carving and roasting the seeds and pumpkins for recipes.
