[Nfb-krafters-korner] patience, patience, patience

Okay, now you're just singing my life with your words! I have really come
to appreciate people who are on time, you know! And, as for looking for
things that I have laid down - I hate those days. I drive myself crazy
spending hours looking for something that is right there in front of me - in
a place I have looked a hundred times. I have not figured out the
"barracuda" factor on it yet, but it would be nice to know, then I could
just look there X number of times and get it over with. I think I can
safely say that my white hair is directly attributable to this
excruciatingly frustrating exercise.

I, too, have a stash problem. Doesn't everyone? My daughter and her two
children moved in with me 3 years ago and took over my two extra bedrooms -
you see where this is heading - and I lost all of my extra closets for
storage. My bedroom has become my only place for my "everything" and my
stash is beginning to take over! I think my skeins are reproducing! Do
skeins have gender?? LOL

Seriously, I hate to keep my yarn in bins - too much stacking and
unstacking. I have started using those large heavy-duty plastic zippered
bags that you get comforters in. My stash is divided by yarn type. For
instance, I have all Vanna's in one bag, all wool in another, all cotton
(Sugar and Cream) in another, etc. I also use the smaller ones that sheet
sets come in for project bags. They are clear and I can sort of see what is
inside. Because my closets are full, I bought two of those canvas shoe
holders that drop down and open into square compartments and hung them from
the ceiling. I stash yarn In this holder for which I have a project in
mind. However, best intentions aside, I still need a way to figure out
what color the yarns are. I do have peripheral vision, but am color blind!
My daughter recently got an I-Phone and has an app on it for shopping. She
took pictures of bar codes in the grocery store the other day and it gave us
the info on the item. I am wondering if it will do the same for my stash!
Anyone know if the I-Phone will work for me?

I need to find a "YAA meeting somewhere - can I get a witness!

Yes, for me it will be three years this week. Waiting has become a way of
life now and at first it was so difficult to know you had to wait for so
many things that were beyond your control. I still get anxious sometimes,
then I tell myself to relax and go on with something else. What bothers me
themost now, is losing things. Not being able to find something that I
normally would have found without delay. I lost the piece of pottery I had
bought for my grand daughter's birthday present...have not yet found it, so
today I bought another one which I will give her. Where the first one is,
anyone's guess! I also searched for a very long time this morning for the
Addi Turbo Needle I had bought for the Life Line Class - fainny found it
exactly where it should be, but I had searched that place several times and
did not find it there...often times things are where they are supposed to
be, but I miss them again and again. Yes, I understand the waiting game,
too. Lynda
