Terry,
There is also something called "sort quick" that helps people sort money quickly. You can buy it in Office stores. It comes in a small round compact type of container. We use it in our Braille Dept. to help read Braille Better.

Terry P.,

I don't have calluses so I can't verify this, however, I have done a lot of
work around paper/cardboard and it dries out the hands to the point that
they crack and bleed. Because of this, I am in the habit of using handcreme
all the time. I have noticed that if I am reading braille right after
applying the cream (make sure your hands are thoroughly dry of course) that
I have better sensitivity. Also, if I am drinking a cup of coffee and
warming my fingers on the mug, the braille seems more distinctive.

Let us know if either of these work with your situation.
