Hi Sharon, The format does need to be changed to either htm or txt - I'm using .txt  But not necessarily the better choice.
The problem with patterns is the use of symbols like * ( )
These are meaningful to the working of a pattern. As I recall I had to insert spaces before & after each symbol otherwise it was ignored, IE not read . It may be helpful to know that the navigation options are by word, sentence, line or paragraph. I made changes to the pattern with these options in mind.
I suggest that she tries a single familiar pattern; format it & copy to stream then give a listen to see what is possibly missing & how she might use the navigation choices.
After all that if she has these pattern in folders like baby, sweaters with sub of patterns, I think she could move it all at once. And mother says always save a copy!
It is a lot of work when there are many patterns - perhaps some smarty knows a better way. I'd love to spend less time inserting spaces & line breaks.
I'd like to hear how she makes out.

Hi,

I just was asked by a friend this question and did not know the answer to it. She just purchased her Victor Stream.

She has a directory on her computer with subdirectories with crochet patterns. She wanted to know if she could just copy the main directory without having to copy each pattern to her stream. This would be very time consuming if she had to reorganize them on to the stream as she has been collecting patterns for years. The other question is whether to save them as html or text files for the stream.  Right now, they are Word files.
