Theresa,

So, if I understood correctly, it is a stick which is about 15 inches long. 
On one side is a groove that you use as a guide to cut along after wrapping. 
That could be done with a router and my roommate can do that I'll bet. He'll 
just have to calculate to get I think 2.5 inches around! This is great.

My mom purchased this for me about 30 years ago...I think she bought it at a
small craft store in New England so they may have made them. I have never
seen it again and it is so helpful. I will see if there is any info written
on it.
