[Nfb-krafters-korner] VI/Blind and crafting

Yes. It is possible to cut the yarn but takes real care in pulling all wraps
exactly the same and doing it a whole bunch of times. This is more important
if you are doing a picture which should be flat. There are thousands and
thousands of pieces of yarn in a piece. But it sure is doable.

Have any of you thought of cutting your own yarn for latch hooking by using
spair yarn and labeling the bags.
I have made shag pillows in the past and we wrapped the yarn around a piece
of cardboard and cut it once. In this case, most likely you would have to
cut it twice. The fringe I did was a lot longer than that of a latch hook
rug. You could make up a design with spair yarn or buy yarn of desired
colors.
I actually came up with a new coaster design by studying my sisters small
rugs in her living room.

his book is hard to find. Is anyone producing it anymore? I've been
brailling some patterns from a copy I borrowed but would love to own the
book.

I have done rug hooking and I love it, but it doesn't challenge me. I need
sighted help inintially to sort colors and read the pattern. There is a book
Row upon Row that gives patterns in braille.
