[Nfb-krafters-korner] to everyone

Joyce,

As I understood the e-mail sent by Eileen, it was mentioned having a check
box so teachers could retain or gift ownership to NFB. That leaves the
position ambiguous and subject to continued controversy down the road. If
the policy is that NFB owns nothing. Say that and leave it alone! If you
have the policy but some have given permission and some have not, or maybe a
technical glitch caused something, you open up potential problems including
possible lawsuits. Say ownership stays with the teacher and nothing else and
you are less likely to have problems in the future. Assume that applies to
everyone without exception.

Greg,

I don't understand what you mean by:

"Folks, Be careful. If teachers are checking or not checking if they retain

ownership, then this can come up again. "

This is taken from Eileen's email. It was suggested that there be a
statement made on the class proposals and class sign up forms. Until we
seek
advise and write up such things and then have it legally reviewed , there
is
not anything to do.

only the teacher owns it, then that is the only option and no other option
should be offered!

One other Point brought up last night I forgot but want to mention to cover
all important points. I believe it was decided/agreed that Joyce will
contact an attorney of the NFB either Scott LaFar or one through Donna
Hills
Performing artists division or the Writers division on the legal stuff so
it
is all handled & taken care of correctly
