[Nfb-krafters-korner] FQ: What new craft would you like to learn and how will you go about doing this?

Linda,

I am confident that if you want to learn it you will be able to.  The first
step is to decide to do it, which you have accomplished.  The second is to
learn how it is traditionally done, and then you can do the third step of
figuring out how you can adapt it to meet your own needs.  Of course, when
you run into a bump post to the list and I'm sure you will receive a number
of suggestions to try.  This is a very creative group...i.e. blowing on
beads to find the hole.  Smile!

really nice and thoughtul post Annette,
I am going to concentrate on doing encrusted bead worked pieces and pottery
this year because I have a one person show at a museum in Sept. so I have to
keep my nose to the grindstone and get the work done. Because of that, I am
not going to be learning anything new most likely. After Sept, then I will
have the time for new things. I want to learn how to make beaded amulet
bags, talismans, and right angle weave (RAW) but I do not know if I can
learn that or not - I am very slow at picking up this kind of beadworking as
I cannot feel the beads, get the thread all tangled up, and lose the needle
constantly....very clutsy person here!
