[Nfb-krafters-korner] Kitchener's Stitch How-To.

Dixie,

I have my own mantra - but mine is more like the Karate kid's; 'wax on, wax
off'.!

 - after the set up of purl first stitch on front needle and leave on, then
knit first stitch on back needle and leave on, mine goes like this:

Knit off, purl on
purl off, knit on

Sort of sounds like 'wax on - wax off' doesn't it!

Her description confuses me a little. In her instructions she says, "
remove stitch onto tapestry nedle'.

It sounds like she is saying to insert the needle as if to purl and then
slip the stitch onto the tapestry needle and keep it there. I use my
needle more like a sewing needle. I insert the needle as if to purl, but I
pull the needle all the way through the stitch and then as the yarn
continues through the stitch, I let the stitch fall off the knitting needle
and snug up the stitch before going to the next stitch on that needle.

Is that what you do?

Blessings,
Ninn
